All across the nation March is recognized as Youth Art Month, a celebration of the creativity among students in the visual arts. Youth Art Month activities connect more than 800,000 K-12 students and over 200 art educators all across America. CAC is proud to participate in this national effort and to recognize our local young artists with this exhibit. The show opens on March 3 and runs through March 25. A free opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 3 from 5-7 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet our emerging young artists, including the families and teachers who encourage them.

Douglasville Police Department Community Enrichment Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 7pm to 8pm (No meetings on holidays, nor the fourth Thursday in November or December). Citizens are invited to fellowship together while discussing topics impacting our community. Law enforcement and the community speak on local issues and work together as one for the benefit of the community.

On Monday, March 14, the Douglasville Police Department will be hosting a Community Job Fair. This will be a job fair like no other. We are inviting all businesses in Douglasville, Douglas County, and surrounding to participate whether they are hiring for full-time, part-time, or temporary positions. Come and check out your employment options in one place. This event is open to all as we have not put any limitations on who has been invited to keep it open to the public in all walks of life.
Businesses do need to fill out information in order to have a space available. We will be taking businesses through March 8.
Monday, is a teacher work day, and this should provide a great opportunity for high schoolers to come and check out for spring/summer jobs.

This is a seven (7) week training program to assist young men ages 21 and up in unlocking their potential to become productive citizens through understanding their civic and moral duties. The first class in this program series begins March 14.
The program is free. Light refreshments will be served.

Presented by the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County, we invite you to join Alice and the gang in their fun adventures this March!

This year enjoy flamingo croquet, story-telling, cookie-decorating, egg-hunting, pin the tail on the Cheshire cat, and tea-party fun! For just $15 per person ($10 CAC member), you can spend as long as you’d like between 11 am and 2 pm in the company of the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Red Queen, White Queen, and of course, Alice.

The Douglasville Police Department spring festival, Community Enrichment Day, will take place on April 2, 2022 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Douglasville Public Safety Complex located at 2083 Fairburn Road. Come out and meet your public safety officials while the kids enjoy egg hunts, touch-a-trucks, a K-9 demo, and a bounce house along with food, vendors, and fun. This event is free and open to the public.
Vendors are needed and Booth Registration is $25.
We will take vendor applications through March 21 (subject to availability).
